River Design and Manufacturing was founded in 1987 by Rick Van Rensselaer to serve the needs of the electronics manufacturing industry. With electronics manufacturers’ core business focusing on developing electronics and software, many of them will outsource Mechanical product and fixturing design and fabrication.

This is where River Design and Manufacturing comes in. We understand the constantly changing needs of our customer base and are positioned to react quickly and step in where needed to help develop new products, tools and fixturing. We have worked with many well known companies in Northern California and have developed over 200 different types of tools, fixtures and products. Our customer base is in fields as diverse as analytical laboratory equipment to high-speed networking devices.
